Share Manchester Thunder have re-signed Eleanor Cardwell from Severn Stars to complete a sensational double swoop. Cardwell joins Stars team-mate Laura Malcolm in returning to the club which saw her rise through the ranks from youth level to the Vitality Netball Superleague. The 23-year-old England Roses shooter will play for the Black and Yellows once again for the 2019 season, after spending two years with Midlands-based Stars. “I’m so excited to be back in the Thunder dress this coming season,” Cardwelll said. “I’m ready to hit the season hard and as a team, let’s challenge for the title.” Cardwell leaves Stars as their starting shooter and has seen her international stock rise in recent years. The Lancashire-born shooter will join up with the England Roses squads this autumn, for both the Fast5 Series in Australia and the International Tests against Jamaica. Manchester Thunder managing director Debbie Hallas said: “We’re delighted to have Eleanor back at Thunder for next season. “She has become one of the best shooters in the Vitality Netball Superleague during her time at Stars and we’re looking forward to seeing what she can do back in the Thunder colours.” Related news post 4th Mar 2025 Manchester Thunder reveal dresses for 2025 NSL season Reading: 1 min Manchester Thunder Tags: Eleanor Cardwell Manchester Thunder VNSL2019 Previous Story Laura Malcolm returns to Thunder Next Story Excitement building ahead of British Fast5 All-Stars More News 5th Mar 2025 News Panagarry named Lightning captain, with Cobden and Joseph as vice-captains Reading: 2 mins 4th Mar 2025 News Umpires appointed for 2025 NSL season Reading: 3 mins 4th Mar 2025 News The Netball Super League reveals further innovations and rule changes ahead of 2025 season Reading: 4 mins 4th Mar 2025 News Manchester Thunder reveal dresses for 2025 NSL season Reading: 1 min 26th Feb 2025 News NIC Leeds Rhinos reveal 2025 dress design as preparations ramp up for relaunched season Reading: 1 min More Google Ad – MPU – Right Column
